NEZUAI - String Theory…was started a couple weeks ago and features no instruments -- i tracked & sequenced all of this music with midi patterns. to maintain variation between notes i randomized the volume (or intensity) of every note/strum, broke up chords & percussion layers in a realistic manner and leveraged distortion & convolution reverb. the album also, without being on purpose, features soundfonts and other tones which are very nostalgic to me, making it sort of a capstone. |
